Some parts of the city are served by the skytrain, an elevated fast train system that lets you avoid the traffic and crowds. There are at the moment only 2 lines only, which meet at Siam Square: they are fast, modern and extremely chilly (read: air-con at full power). Prices vary depending on how far you go - from 10 to 40 baht. You need to buy your tickets before getting on the train, obviously, and vending machines only accept coins - there's however a desk that changes money at every station.
