Favorite Dish: (Continuing from above)
The Antica Taverna, rather than a straight restaurant, is more properly a 'bruschetteria'. So, first of all you gotta get an idea of what a 'bruschetta' is... :)
Basically, it consists in a large slice of freshly toasted tuscan bread sprinkled with genuine olive oil and covered with the most various range of ingredients, according to your taste: cheese, salami, tomato, ham, mozzarella, mushrooms, fresh vegetables...The only constant for the genuine bruschetta is that the slice has to be previously rubbed with garlic.
This spot is supposed to have a list of several dozens of different bruschette, so it's just a matter of choice!
A good selection of tuscan wines are available, bottled as well as in pitcher; personally i tried a 1/2 liter pitcher of Vernaccia, a typical local white wine, and it didn't disappointed me.
(To be continued below)
