When boarding on a Bulgarian train, make sure you know what train you are taking. The "P" (written in Cyrillic) means the slow local train. Whereas the "B" (again, written in Cyrillic) means a fast train. The slow train stops in every single village, where as the B are much faster and only stops in major cities. On the other hand, the "M" trains are the International Train, but it doesn't mean that they are fast either. Nevertheless, trains are dirt cheap in Bulgaria.
