Favorite thing: Extremadura has two provinces, Caceres and Badajoz.

This region has yet not been discovered by mass tourism, but it has plenty of offers if you are looking for something off the beaten track.

My first suggestion is to visit MERIDA where the roman remains are theatre, an amphitheatre, two aqueducts, and a bridge .... Just impressive

CACERES with a beautiful old quarter surrender by the Moorish town walls. Lovely old part of the city!!!

PLASENCIA. Great Gothic-Plateresque cathedral, medieval town-walls and several palaces. In summer there is a Medieval market that makes the town look back on time

TRUJILLO... Just go, great houses of the medieval times, sometimes it make me think it had stopped on time

Also visit the Valle del Jerte and Hervas (lovely old village)

Review Helpfulness: 3.5 out of 5 stars
