"Statue of Liberty" Statue of Liberty - Ellis Island Tip by darthmilmo

The Statue of Liberty, a monument to the political freedom and ideals of the United States of America, is currently closed due to the security provisions imposed after the tragic events of Sept 11, 2001. Visitors can still visit the island, but they cannot actually climb to the top. It's your call, but I opted not to go. I hope they reopen this monument by the next time I visit NYC.
