  Oxford Street

I wasn't sure whether to include this in the 'Shopping' or 'Tourist Traps' section. Oxford Street is the longest and probably best known shopping area in London. It covers 4 stops on the Central Line.
There are huge department stores and a vast number of shops that seem to have perennial closing down sales.
At Christmas the shop and street decorations are very festive. It gets so crowded though that at times it is impossible to move. Because of the crowds and the high proportion of foreign tourists it is a popular spot for pickpockets so beware.
