Iberia Peninsula: "Authentic, Fresh, Delicious Iberian Seafood" Newark Restaurant Tip by asturnut

As with all of the finer Iberian restaurants in the Ironbound, the first thing you notice when you approach the restaurant are the beautiful, typically European solid wood doors. You can spot the good restaurants from the fast food in the Ironbound just by looking at the doorway. The ambiance of Iberia Peninsula is typical European "smart casual" despite the fact the waiters wear black tuxedos. The menu at Iberia is pretty authentic, except the fact that the food is sold a la carte, instead of family style as it would be in Europe. There are several items on the menu however, that are offered family style. Next to the restaurant is the bar which is positively chock full of people.

Favorite Dish: Iberia's seafood is unbelievley fresh and authentic. Their non-seafood offerings are limited. Really good flan and house wines.
