Red Bamboo: "Red Bamboo" Red Bamboo Tip by feline01
Red Bamboo, New York City: 4 reviews and 1 photos
This is a new, wonderful vegetarian/vegan restaurant owned by the same owners of VP2 which is 2 stores down. The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is serene. Great prices as well, especially their weekend lunch menu offerings at $6.95.
Favorite Dish: Butterfly pork chops. Yes, they're vegetarian and since I never had real dead-animal pork chops, I can't make a comparison but the meal was delicious. Do not miss the desserts, all the cakes are vegan (same baker as desserts from Veg-City Diners) but even if you don't care about eating vegan, the cakes are phenomenal.
Address: 140 W. 4th Street between 6th Ave & MacDougal
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Greenwich Village, 1 block west of Washington Square Park.
