Favorite thing: The Monastery of Hrisoskalitisa is SW of the capital of the prefecture of Chania, being built on a rock where you have a good view of the region.
According to the tradition, one of the 90 stairs to the top is gold, but it can be seen only if the person is moral. I hadn't seen it, so probably I'm not such a person...
