S'Agapo: "Authentic Greek Food in Astoria" Sagapo Taverna Ouzeri- CLOSED Tip by Radiomom

Take the Queesnboro Bridge to Astoria, Queens

There are a lot of Greek restaurants in Astoria, Queens. This one really stands out. They have a delightful sidewalk dining area for when the weather is warm. Our waiter was wonderful in helping us to craft a perfect Sunday lunch that was light, delicious, and full of fabulous Greek delights.

Favorite Dish: Get a sampler of the dips for the crusty bread as well as slices of squash and cucumber that turn the plate into an artist's palette of tasty, spicy, sweet, tangy choices. The lima bean and red onion salad was wonderful, as was lightly sauteed zucchini and eggplant, garnished with yummy cold garlic/onion potatoes. A Greek salad chock full of tomatoes, olives, squash, and more veggies, with that addictive feta cheese....oh, and order a cup of hot tea (or have it iced). It is specially brewed and better than anything you normally get when you order "ice tea" in just about ANY restaurant. It looks like the entrees would push the price up toward $30 per person for a full meal. I know we'll be back to this place.
