No we don't have to worry about earthquakes or moose, but we do have other things to watch for. Please remember that Florida has lots of swamp land and many of the areas are surrounded by lakes or water of some sort. And the urge to dive into a beautiful calm lake is too tempting. But please do not swim in undesignated swimming areas and never swim at night or alone. Alligators are indigenous to Florida and they just might have the urge to help you remember where you left your common sense. Watch for water moccasins (deadly), they are commonly mistaken for black racers who are basically benign. Watch where you are walking no matter what time of day or year but especially during spring and summer.

Picture is of an alligator hiding out at Paynes Prairie.
