Favorite thing: Kodiak is an outdoor playground, whether fishing for halibut or salmon, hiking into the mountains, or just enjoying the scenery from Miller Point in Fort Abercrombie. You may even see a Kodiak Bear, or a Bald Eagle.

Fondest memory: Last summer I went to a native (Aluutiq) wedding at Ft Abercrombie state park. A balilika group provided the music, and the wedding party sent clam shell sailing into the air. The theme was games of our youth.
