Favorite thing: Located off US Highway 61, along the 'River Road' from Memphis, to New Orleans are several now small towns like Natchex, MS. that once were centers for wealthy cotton plantations. Saint Francisville, La. is a collection of beautiful anti-bellum homes, most open to the public. As I travel I like to stop in old towns and see the history that was there.
