"Buying antiques. This is..." Greenport Tourist Trap Tip by nuker

Buying antiques. This is always fun, but one can easily be ripped off. The area is full of tourists who love the 'country charm' and antiques fit the bill. Know exactly what you are buying before you purchase it. Remember. . Just becuase it is old, does not mean it is worth a lot of money (or any money for that matter). Another trick is remember to haggle on some things. These are antique dealers and they want to move their merchandise like anybody else.

My favorite ones in Greenport were the Beall & Bell and Haag Todd Home. Both have nice old furniture and marine items.
