Wawolnica is the important Marian Sanctuary for the catholics. It's the place of a cult of the figure of the Mother of God of Kebelow (Madonna from a lime tree) which stands in the main altar of the parish church.
It's said that pilgrimage to Wawolnica gives good health and cures diseases.

There is annual walking pilgrimage to Wawolnica from the Lublin dioceses and there are religious celebrations during the night and day of the church fair in the sanctuary.
