"Sail Rock" Ko Samui Sports & Outdoors Tip by ancient_mariner

Ko Samui Sports & Outdoors: 10 reviews and 13 photos

Sail Rock is a rock formation strutting out in the middle of the sea a bit north of Koh Samui and Koh Tao. The rock has been used as target practice by the Thai Navy (or so I've heard), but the underwater formations are what makes the spot unique. Sail Rock has a 'chimney', a vertical cave starting from appr. 5 m and ending at a depth of 18 m. The chimney is said to be guarded by a trigger fish, couldn't see it, though.
