Sill. ore Herring is eaten as a starter. It is most offen eaten to big celebrationas as christmas, easter, midsummer.....you almost always eat it before the maincourse. There are many different recpepys, tastes and brands of herring. You have to taste wich one you like.
The most kommen are Inlagd (traditional), Lök (onion), Senap (mustard).
If you go to a big supermarket you will see there are a lot of different brands and tastes.
Sill is always included in smorgasbord (smörgåsbord), and you always start with the cold dishes (as herring for example)
