Favorite thing: Take a visit to Beth Shean, about 25 km south of the Sea of Galilee. This is one of the most important archeologic sites of Israel.

During the Roman times Beth Shean was the centre of commerce and because of that one of the most important cities of Palestine.

The Roman theater dates from before Christ and is the largest and most beautiful one in Israel. In the theatre 6000 to 8000 spectators could be seated.

Excavations have esposed a part of a Roman-Byzantine city. In this city ruins of several buildings, a shopping street and a lot more can be seen. The city was destroyed by an earthquake

North of the theater the Tel es-Husn rises up. Ruins of Egyptian temples have been discovered here. The Tel isn't that interesting but it's nice to know that near the trunk and branches of a dead tree a part of the movie 'Jesus Christ Superstar' has been recorded.
