Shah Jahan was not lucky with his children. His oldest son made him a prisoner for his last years.

This is the pavillion, where the Sultan spent many years looking onto the Taj Mahal, the tomb of his beloved wife. But he wass never allowed to go there.

It is an absolute must, to go to the Fort as early as about 6 o'clock to see the sun rise behind the Taj Mahal. Please see my travelogue for more photos!
