"Dancin'!" Nightclubs Tip by ben_england

Nightclubs, Oxford: 12 reviews and 3 photos

Park End is probably the best place to go if you want fairly mainstream 'dance' music, AND R&B, AND cheesey-music-since-the-50's! It's got three rooms playing each of these categories of music, plus a balcony overlooking the main room, which is the mainstream-dance room. There's not usually too much aggro here either.

It's also got about 5 bars, serving bottled drinks for about 4 quid a drink. So get drunk before you go!

I haven't checked lately, but I think it's still the same-
Wednesday- student night
Thursday- ladies night
Fri and Sat- 'normal' nights

Dress Code: This is a wannabe-swanky place, so get your best shoes and shirts on. No trainers or jeans, and even if you look thirty you'd best take ID, because the bouncers are a bunch of power-mad, arrogant idiots.

Address: Park End street
Directions: Ask a barperson- everyone knows it, and I'm useless at giving directions!
Theme: Nightclub
