"A puzzle without a solution" Bars.... Tip by tvdm
Bars...., Dublin: 103 reviews and 91 photos
A famous writer once said that the ultimate puzzle would be to cross the city of Dublin without passing a pub: there's no solution! The city's bursting with watering holes where they serve the Black Stuff (Guinness) among many other drinks.
As far as clubs go, Dublin has come a long way. And apart from nightly bustle in the Temple Bar area, more and more bars open up nearby, around O'Connell Bridge. You will be surrounded by the young and trendy people of Dub and you can party away until late in places like Redz and Fireworks. Be careful though, it can get very crowded during the week-end!
Temple Bar area is an all-week spot: if you want to chill and lounge on a Sunday evening, some clubs, like Fireworks for instance, are just as good as being loud and crowded dance temples. With some clubds, there are interiors to fit every party and the huge amount of space doesn't make it less intimate. But things go in and out of fashion within months, so in order to help you locate a few good spots - apart from my excellent inside info, of course - here are some helpful links:
Dress Code: You might want to dress up a bit: forget training gear, torn jeans and runners. Other than that feel free to experiment!
Directions: You'll find Fireworks on the corner of Pearse and Tara Street, just one minute off Trinity College.
