  Walter Peak sheep station

Before visiting Walter Peak?s sheep station, we were expected at the Colonel?s Homestead restaurant to taste the traditional New Zealand cuisine and wines.
Succulent roast meats, fresh see foods, vegetables and salads. The homemade desserts were inviting and I, who usually skip the dessert stage, couldn?t resist this time. After all I made the right choice.
After dinner there was a demonstration of sheep dogs in action and sheep shearing.
On our way back we all gathered around the piano on the promenade deck. Songbooks were distributed and we sang all the way from Walter Peak?s sheep station to Queenstown. Once again we had an unforgettable evening.
