"Byron Bay in NSW" Australia Things to Do Tip by Weener

Byron Bay in NSW is a great place to chill out and get away from the tourism for a while. A little beach town sort of stuck in a time warp. The place is a great hang out for ?new age travellers?. It is carefree and relaxed, with plenty of vegetarian food, music and creativity. Check out the monthly markets selling all sorts of handcraft and home-grown products. I came here for a stop off for a few days, and ended up staying 2 weeks! The beach is lovely, and goes on forever! with lots of dolphins swimming in the sea. If you like to horse ride, there are regular horse rides along the beach. Go for a walk up to the lighthouse, which is the most eastern point of Australia. To watch the sunrise from here is breathtaking (if you can get up that early). If you have time, visit the little obscure town of Nimbin, just outside Byron, you have to see it to believe it! But hold on to your wallets.
