Favorite thing: The funny looking house of Casa do Bicos is famous for its facade stones cut in diamonds.
Not one of the most beautiful buildings I´ve seen, but...hmmmm...special
Just to tell You that Casa do Bicos in Lisbon, Portugal, is not just important because of its shape. It's specially because of its history.
Many wealthy families lived there even during the time of discoveries.
In 1755, the 'Lisbon Great Earthquake' as some call it, destroyed almost all Lisbon (and almost all Portugal, south of Spain, north Morocco... and many other places in Europe... the earthquake was felt from Norway to Italy but it's centre was in Lisbon: some waves were felt in the other side of the ocean...).
This house was one of the few that remained of all glorious Lisbon of then...
Thank you BRANCO for this additional info!
