Statue in the Capitoline Museums of the mythical brothers, Romulus and Remus. The twin sons of Mars and the Vestal Sylvia were supposedly set adrift in a basket on the River Tiber and later found and suckled by a she-wolf. Romulus went on to kill his brother and found Rome.
