American Airlines Center, Dallas: 4 reviews and 7 photos
American Airlines Center opened in July 28 2001 with a large ceremony in the morning and an Eagles concert at night. The Center is 840,000sqft and is part of the master planned Victory District, adjacent to the West End and two major highways. It has now become home to the Dallas Stars and the Dallas Mavericks.
Other than sporting events, the will hold many concerts and other events like Barnum & Bailey Circus, Ringling Brother, Disney on Ice and the Harlem Globetrotters. The complex seats 19,200 for basketball, 18,000 for hockey and 20,000 for other events.
Their website reports that the Center has ?more toilets per capita than any other sports and entertainment venue in the country. With more than a 3:1 ratio of women's vs. men's toilets, it exceeds the requirements of the Texas 'Potty Parity' law.? Works for me.
Address: 2500 Victory Ave, Dallas
Directions: Just north of Dallas' Central Business District and the historic West End, American Airlines Center has convenient access to major freeways and public transportation.
