"Main Square" Römer - Römerberg Tip by keeweechic

Römer - Römerberg, Frankfurt am Main: 74 reviews and 120 photos

The Römerberg (main square) is a mainly a traffic free zone of the old town. This area was reconstructed after World War II. The Römer is known as the town hall, this is where the Holy Roman emperors held lavish coronation banquets. The 'medieval' buildings which face the square are reconstructions but have modern interiors.

The evening was closing in on my first stay, on my later stay and to walk it during the day, this square was even lovelier.

Address: Romerberg Strasse.
