"The Southern Terraced Hill" Munich Off The Beaten Path Tip by keeweechic

Munich Off The Beaten Path: 317 reviews and 398 photos

The Southern Terraced Hill was originally conceived by the King as a Rococo Theatre. There is a classical rotunda with a marble statue of Venus at the top of the hill. Even covered with snow the grounds were spectacular. The statues and fountains were still boxed over for the winter.
