"The Rocks " The Rocks Tip by keeweechic

The Rocks, Sydney: 92 reviews and 150 photos

The Rocks a hundred years ago was a rat infested slum and gangs were running riot dominating the inhabitants. Today, The Rocks is wonderfully restored and forms part of the colorful promenade from the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the famous Opera House.

Old warehouses now house art galleries and interesting shops and there are an abundance of pubs, restaurants and cafes all lying in the shadow of the harbour bridge. Exploring this area and learning about its history is fun.
