Ponte Vecchio, Florence: 190 reviews and 326 photos

This is the oldest bridge in Florence dating back to 1565 and the Roman times. The stone arches now replace the original wooden ones. Known as the ?Old Bridge?, this is the place to shop for antiques and jewellery in Florence and I can attest to that. From the central point, you can get some great views of the River Arno. During the summer months the bridge is a temporary home for street performers and portrait painters.
