It contains the life's work of the famous Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland. There is a bridge with 58 figures of men, women and new-born infants. Nezt is fountain: six male figures rising a giant bowl. Vigeland was obsessed with the cycle of life which he depicts here in 20 reliefs around the edge of the fountain pool. Above the fountain on the raised plateau, and surrounded by 36 groups of granite figures, is Monoliten, a great spire 17 meters high and comprising 121 figures sculpted out of one solid block of a whitish granite. The sculpture Wheel of life is a continuum of figures in a kind of airborne ring dance.

Address: It's a 40-minute walk from the centre.
