Taipei New Park is said to be the place to go to see the Chinese at play. This is one of the oldest parks in Taipei, it was built in 1899. It contains a number of cultural relics and the February 28th Peace Memorial. Peddlers are out very early in the morning along with the morning exercisers. There are colourful pagodas and bridges over ponds and pretty gardens.

Closed on Mondays.
