Beware especially around the Plaza's, Lucky Plaza especially, for guys selling copy watches. Touting is illegal in Singapore but these guys operate out of back rooms of tailors etc. They walk quietly past you and say ‘copy watch?’. If you are interested, then don’t make a scene and acknowledge interest. I found the touters all very safe and I took many visitors to Singapore there. I have copy watches which are still running perfectly. You can also get copy bags, t’shirts and goodness knows what by now.
