"When you are walking in..." Kenya Warnings Or Dangers Tip by Nsara

Kenya Warnings and Dangers: 116 reviews and 77 photos

When you are walking in Nairobi, watch out. While people may scare you about walking around the city centre during the day, you are generally fine, as long as you are walking around with a crowd, and you look like you know where you are going. That is you are fine unless any valuables are easy to spot on you. Take off your watch!!! Never pay attention to anything someone has to tell you on the street, and never acknowledge someone shouting your name unless you are ABSOLUTELY SURE you know them. The side of the road along Chromo Road from the International Casino to Westlands, looks safe. IT IS NOT!!!! From personal experience, I have been mugged there. There is hardly anyone walking there, because many muggers hang out in the forest between the Casino and private school. Play it safe take a Matatu or bus to the Westlands. Otherwise keep your belongings close to you on a Matatu. If you choose to walk around Nairobi at night, that is fine, however make sure that you are with someone from Nairobi.
