Pulau Ubin is a small island in the east of Singapore. It's near the airport and from the jetty, you could see planes taking off.

To get there, you have to go to Changi Village and take 10-15min bum boat ride which will cost you about SGD$2.

The island is rather rural and still has the 'kampong' feel of yester-years.

You can rent bicycles and explore the island. Visit the many quarries and the beautiful Chek Jawa which is like an eco-tourism park of sorts.

You can see many fruit trees like durian, rambutans and coconuts.

Do not miss the fried rice at one of the restaurants. It's YUMMY!
