The Al-Hatta Fort Hotel: "The Al-Hatta Fort Hotel" United Arab Emirates Hotel Tip by DesertRat

United Arab Emirates Hotels: 65 reviews and 77 photos

Around $110 a night per double.

Unique Qualities: This collection of cathedral-ceilinged bungalows lies on a hillside above the village of Al-Hatta. It has all the amenities and then some, e.g., even an archery range. Though not exactly cheap, it's reasonable value for money considering the cost of hotels in the region. The food is good, the service in the restaurant is excellent. Rooms are very, very large and beautifully appointed with both AC and ceiling fans. Reservations are highly recommended -- and an absolute 'must' during the two 'Eid's, the Emirati and Omani National Day celebrations, and the Dubai Shopping Festival.

Directions: Located just past the Omani border checkpoint at Wajajah not far from Al-Ain (UAE) and Buraimi (Oman)
Theme: Hotel
