"North West and South Western..." Hungary Off The Beaten Path Tip by Pavlik_NL

Hungary Off The Beaten Path: 68 reviews and 79 photos

North West and South Western corners of Hungary are not that touristic and hold their own specific (real Hungarian?) atmosphere. Eger and Miskolc are historical towns in the middle of Hungarian red wine district. The longest river in Hungary is the Tisza, that flows from North Eastern corner through magnificent puszta-land into the Donau (Danube). This is the land of grass-steppes, endless sunflowerfield and acres as well as agricultural villages (from far recognised by their watertowers).
