The Kailua Plantation House: "The Kailua Plantation House" Hawaii (State of) Hotel Tip by TBBirdie

Hawaii (State of) Hotels: 193 reviews and 186 photos

Unique Qualities: Beautifully decorated and very well kept, right on the water's edge. A little pricey compared to deals offered by the larger resorts in the area; but the quaintness, privacy and simple elegance is well woth it. We truely enjoyed our stay there, and recommend the downstairs room with the large jacuzzi tub, which is located on the backside of the house. That room has its own private balcony which looks out over the small dipping pool & hot tub, and a few steps beyond that is the ocean itself. The whole backside of the house offers breath taking views of the Kona Coastline, and all the marine life/marine traffic in the area. Dolphins & Whales were the morning entertainment with a tasty breakfast out on the sunny patio.

Price Comparison: about average
Directions: On Alii Dr in Kona, just past the heart of downtown.
Theme: Bed and Breakfast
