contrary to what people might think. scotland is a great culinary country.
the wild game is out of this world. good haggis is not that bad and of course the angus beef is wellknown. wash this down with a pint of scottish beer(mcewan's 80' is out of this world) and a good scottish trifle or sticky pudding to finish. oh my!!!!
nothing to compare with the english down south!!!!
people people and people. scottish are nice and friendly. if you go up north (especially fife) ou might find people a bit colder at first but once you get to know them, it's areal treat to share their friendship.

Favorite Dish: the fish and chips place on leith walk and montgomery street. great fish good smoked sausage and the chips are greasy enough. if you can find your way through the layers of newspaper it's quite unique

Directions: edinburgh: go on grassmarket to have fun( lots of university students) in places like bertie's mulligann's. the west end is a bit posh but l'attache is a great night spot and a few pubs around are goo
othercontact: balbirnie house hotel in markinc
