"How the Great Pyramids at Giza..." Giza Pyramid of Khufu (Gr. Cheops) - Great Pyramid at Giza Tip by AndreasK

How the Great Pyramids at Giza were built is a question that may never be answered. The Cheops pyramid was built during 23 years between 2589-2566 BC. It took over 2 million blocks of stone with an average weight of 2.5 tons each. It is the largest and the oldest of the Pyramids of Giza. The Egyptians dug a network of canals off the Nile to transport stone for the pyramids and food for the workers, and a simple, local agriculture became the force that knit together the kingdom's economy. On the picture you see the Sphinx in front of the pyramids.
