"Packing List" Honolulu Packing List Tip by Redlats

Honolulu What to Pack: 33 reviews and 26 photos

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Main thing about packing for Hawaii is: 'Do not overpack'. All you will need if you are a guy is t-shirts, shorts, and footwear. For footwear, bring runners for your treks, and sandals (flipflops) for anything near the beach. Unless you are trying to impress someone, you can get away with casual dress all day and evening. And, being it still is the US, there are laundromats available everywhere.

For someone from Canada visiting Hawaii in winter, I brought a light jacket, and a sweater. Never needed them once. You might need a light rainjacket if you are unlucky (never rained for the two weeks we were there though). If you are staying on the North side of O'ahu, or visiting other islands, we were told the weather is more variable.
