"The Burren is a fantastic..." Ireland Off The Beaten Path Tip by luciano
Ireland Off The Beaten Path: 310 reviews and 459 photos
The Burren is a fantastic region to be explored by bicycle (as I did) or by car. Get the most detailed map and go! I started with a Full Irish Breakfast at Doolin and spent a whole day cycling through such towns as Lisdoonvarna, Kilfenora and Ballyvaughan. I stopped at the Poulnabrone dolmen and the Ailwee caves, which shouldn't be missed. At the Black Head; I climbed up to the fort on the top of the hill, from where everything except the sea seems to be made of rocks.
