After spending a weekend at Muine, I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Vietnam. Lonely Planet describes it as Vietnam's most pristine coastline. Actually I've heard it's Phu Quoc Island, but since I've never been there I can't compare. I can tell you that Muine is well worth the visit, especially if you're feeling a little worn down from travelling. I stayed at the Bamboo Village, which offers luxury bungalows for around $50 a night. Certainly not cheap, but a stay you'll never forget. I stayed for one evening, which wasn't enough.

Directions: Muine beach is near the town of Phan Thiet, which is a 4 hour drive north of Saigon.
