for more details on this. If you get bitten, be sure to buy some Tiger Balm (available all over Thailand) which is really good at making the bites go down - it works for me!

However, you do also need to be aware of Dengue fever. This is potentially fatal and there is no vaccine; it's spread by mosquitos, and the best advice is not to get bitten.
