The outside of this building is definitely worth a look, and if you like modern art, you should really pay the collection inside a visit. Lots of big names from the 20th Century, such as Pollock, Braque and Magritte - with lots of artists you probably haven't heard of either. Generally pretty interesting.

The main drawback is that despite the size of the building, the museum space is limited to only 2 floors. This means that only a selection of the museum's collection is on show at any one time, so if you've heard that a famous painting is here, you aren't guaranteed seeing it.

The museum is closed Tuesdays, but it's open until 9pm on other days. Entrance is 7 Euros, or free for Museum Card holders.

Address: Place Georges Pompidou 75004 Paris
Directions: Just east of Les Halles - RER Chatelet Les Halles or Rambuteau Metro (and several other Metro stations are in walking distance).
