Pousada do Infante: "Pousada do Infante" Portugal Hotel Tip by patria

It may have been the most expensive in the area but that's because there is very little else nearby. Sagres is a small village in the western part of Portugal which is not as developed as the central southern coast. It was about $100.00Us for one night. We had one room with two twin beds and two cots for our children.

Unique Qualities: The rooms are elegant and simply decorated with a marine theme. We were there in the low season but it was just about $100.00US per night for a family of four in one room. There is an outdoor pool but it is too cool in Feb. for swimming. The views are spectacular. All rooms face the ocean. You are situated high atop a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at the southwestern tip of Europe. Imagine Vasco de Gama or Christopher Columbus standing and looking from this same spot.

Address: This renovated monastery is located in Sagres.
