"The lowest point of the US is..." Death Valley Tip by lihue

Death Valley, California: 34 reviews and 50 photos

The lowest point of the US is Badwater in the Death Valley, a place, where you hardly will freeze. The elevation here is some 86 meters below sea level. The day we travelled, it was so hot, that the bottom of my sneakers peeled away to the sticky asphalt of the road. You really should avoid July and August to travel Death Valley.
