Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art by all means, but don't forget the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim, the Cooper Hewitt, the Frick, and all the Soho art galleries. This is the Hall of Armor in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Metropolitan Museum has a medieval museum uptown called the Cloisters. Don't miss it.

And Brooklyn has its own marvelous Museum, the Brooklyn Museum with an extensive Egyptian collection.

If you have children with you, go to the Hall of Science in Queens.
