  A Working Church
by cheekymarieh

The church site was founded in 1713 by Peter the Great. It is a working church which is open to visitors. There is an opportunity to look at some of the artwork saved from destruction and looting during the Russian Revolution. Services do take place within the church so suitable dress is required.

It is possible to climb the 127 steps to the top of the belfry where you can admire the views of the city.

Within the church shop it is possible to buy icons, crosses and other religious articles.
