St Peter?s Square is an example of Bernini's finest work. The Dome of Michelangelo stands way above the most famous chur`h of in the world. Michelangelo carried out the building work of the basilica although during its construction he encountered many problems. According to legend, the basilica is has been built over the tomb of the Martyred Apostle Peter.
